My name is Jos Prinsen, and I study Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence (CSAI) at Tilburg University. Since I was a little kid I've always had a huge fascination for the functionality of the human brain. What fascinates me most is how little we know about it. Being able to study, and do projects with the brain is like a dream coming true.
I have affinity with programming, application design, and overall working on projects. When I was still in high school for example I created a system that could use voice commands to turn on/off the lights in my room as well as automatically start and log in to predefined applications. For me the most interesting part is usually creating the layout of a system. The implementation after that is the satisfying part, as you can see different components from the planning phase coming to life.
I also have a part-time job as VR/Research assistant for Unravel Research, a neuromarketing research company. I am working on creating a Virtual Reality supermarket, created for neuromarketing research. An example of the supermarket being used in a neuromarketing experiment can be found here.
In October 2021, I joined the Virtual Br41n.io Hackathon IEEC SMC 2021, where we formed the Brainihacks. You can read more about the Hackathon here.
