My name is Caterina, and I'm studying Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University (NL). I've always been very interested in how the brain works, but I never had the chance to deepen my knowledge on the topic. I was born and grew up in Italy, and my high school studies were focused around learning languages. I decided to try to follow my interest in knowing more about brain mechanics while integrating my interest in technology.
Joining the CSAI program at Tilburg University helped a lot in finding out more about Artificial Intelligence and the Interaction between human and machines. Thanks to the br4ain.io hackathon (fall 2021) I had my first hands on experiences with the field of brain computer Interaction and that became my main focus.
I've always liked challenging myself and learning more about different topics. When I get passionate about a topic I enjoy delving into it and connecting it to my previous knowledge to build something new. Being surrounded by like-minded people helps me giving my best and although I am used to working alone I thrive in groups, especially when I can learn new things from my teammates and share my knowledge with them.
I started working on a few projects with my amazing teammates, which you can read more about here. Hopefully this is just the beginning and many more projects will come.
